Luke is a father of 3 children (Joey, Kate and Molly) and married to his lovely wife Kara. He graduated from St John’s Jesuit in 1998 and started his career shortly after completing his undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University. As first employee of Northaven, Luke created an infrastructure to manage approximately 75 residential properties in the Toledo, OH area and set the direction to acquire and manage commercial properties nationwide. Assuming operations of Joe & Deb Nachtrab’s assisted living facilities in 2004 (www.vistaliving.com) his passion for operating businesses began to flourish. Turning the business to profit in just one year he fell in love with the industry. He was named President of Vista Living Communities in 2011 where he utilizes his background to maintain the highest standards of care for those with Alzheimer’s and set the company up for growth. In 2004, Luke assisted in the start-up of P.E.T. Investments, Northaven’s Little Caesars Franchise operation in the Twin Cities. P.E.T. operates 20+ stores in the Twin Cities. The Northaven offices quickly grew into an efficient infrastructure support system to the family investments. In 2006 Northaven bought into CityDiscovery, Inc, (www.city-discovery.com). Luke established accounting procedures and set up all treasury functions for the global tour industry business. In 2016 CityDiscovery was sold to a Japanese Private Equity firm. From 2008-2012, Luke served as the Director of Administration for Joe Nachtrab’s Transportation business. He was responsible for all administrative functions for the 300+ employee and 15+ location national operations. This included all accounting, finance, reporting, HR, risk management and strategic oversight.
Luke’s strengths lie in business accounting analysis, finance, strategic thinking, business development, risk management and practical business process application. Using values taught by his parents he brings integrity and compassion to business. He has been on numerous organizational boards in the Toledo area. He currently serves as the St John’s Jesuit Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee. Continuously improving, Luke has completed many non-degree courses in the last 15 years and in 2011 completed his MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. He is an instrument rated pilot, loves skiing, golfing, soccer, squash, fishing, traveling watching The Buckeye’s and being Dad! He looks forward to raising his children to someday be involved with the business.
